The Hon. Jason Kenney
Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism
325 East Block
House of Commons

Dear Mr. Kenney,
A report published today by the Hudson Institute says Christians in Arab countries are being persecuted and killed by their Muslim neighbours. Let me quote from it
The war of genocide against Christians in the Middle East can no longer be treated as an "internal affair" of Iraq or Egypt or the Palestinians. What the West needs to understand is that radical Islam has declared jihad not only against Jews, but also against Christians. In Iraq, Egypt and the Palestinian territories, Christians are being targeted almost on a daily basis by Muslim fundamentalists and secular dictators.Dozens of Arab Christians in Iraq have been killed in recent months in what seems to be well-planned campaign to drive them out of the country. Many Christian families have already begun fleeing Iraq out of fear for their lives. In light of this fact and that many 'are expressing hope that they could be resettled in North America,' will you make a special effort to have Canadian representatives in the affected countries offer support, transportation and refugee status to these individuals?
Further, will you agree, as has been requested by the Christian Heritage Party, to institute a moratorium on immigration from the affected countries while the issue of assimilation and acceptance of Canadian cultural norms, and laws, by Muslim immigrants has been addressed?
Basically, I'm asking you to block attempts to settle in Canada by the people persecuting Middle Eastern Christians, and to facilitate the settlement here of the victims of this persecution.
History, charity and morality demand that you take action now.
Sincerely,
Frank Hilliard
